1. At the very young age of 24, Toru Iwatani created Pac-Man with the idea of making a game for everyone. The idea of the main character was inspired by a pizza that had 2 slices removed.
2. The game was first launched in a movie theater in Shibuya, Tokyo on May 22nd, 1980.
3. The name of the game was original “Puck-Man”, but as the game was launched in other markets as well, like North America and Europe, Namco changed it to “Pac-Man“.
4. The game took the longest ever period to be developed, approximately 1 year and 5 months.
5. The four ghosts were unique in their own way. Blinky is always running toward the Pac-Man, whereas Pinky and Inky stop the Pac-Man by positioning themselves in front of him, and Clyde is a mad ghost who follows her heart. She either runs toward or away from the Pac-Man. 
6. The game was a mediocre hit. It only became famous after being launched in the markets of the USA.
